FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS |

Passion Today is our little boy, Alexander's 1st birthday and as I started to jot down in my journal a bit about the last 12 months such a strong love and passion for this little life stirred within me. It's not often that I feel passionately about someone or something and from what I've seen with clients, passion is something that most of us want to feel, but we often don't. Most of us travel through life wishing we felt more passion, wondering what could provoke such strong emotion in us. For each of us what evokes 'passion' within us is going to be different, so I won't begin to explore all the things (good and bad) that can evoke passion, but I just wanted to share a few thoughts, definitions and ideas to get you thinking about passion! Some definitions...
Some things that steal our passion:
Some things to stir up passion:
What/who are you passionate about? I'd love to hear your stories.... coach@livingedge.net |
Hi, Annabel,
You probably don't remember, but I emailed you in September last year about how I regretted not going to University and how I lived in fear that if I took it on, I wouldn't cope and my family would suffer.
As a result of your encouragement, I started a BA degree this year, at a speed I am comfortable with (1 subject per semester while my daughter is at preschool). The good news is: I didn't just pass, I got a 7!! (that included 30/30 for my assignment). I have even made friends! What is even better is that my husband and children haven't starved to death, it hasn't affected their education and our house, though not perfect, isn't a sty either!
I still baulk at the thought of stretching processes and circumstances, but I am finding that as I take a deep breath and plunge in, that I actually cope pretty well. Thanks for encouraging me to see my pathetic excuses for living in the status quo for what they were, and helping me to start on this scary and exciting journey.
Have a great week and enjoy your delightful family.
Regards, Nicola Saad - Well done following your dream! (Annabel)

Long life is indeed a blessing, but maybe we overdo our concern for the length of our lives and give insufficient attention to the passion we bring to whatever time we have. - Thomas Moore |
